Idaho Falls Community Transition Team Sponsors Disability Mentoring Day In the Idaho Falls Area.

Disability Mentoring Day will be the Third Wednesday in October each year.

Get ready for DMD 2018, OCTOBER 17, 2018

The Idaho Falls Community Transition Team is proud to sponsor Disability Mentoring Day in the Idaho Falls area.  Students from Eastern Idaho Technical College, Idaho Falls High School, Skyline High School, Emerson High School, Hillcrest High School, Bonneville High School, Rigby High School and job seekers with disabilities have the opportunity to participate.

Each year participants have the opportunity to spend a day in the community learning about their “dream job”.  Employers/mentors are encouraged to explain their job duties, talk about their training, and let participants try “hands-on” activities.

Disability Mentoring Day activities include, a proclamation signing by the Idaho Falls Mayor, an orientation and training for participants, individual mentoring activities, and a follow-up luncheon celebration for participants. If you would like to become a sponsor of Disability Mentoring Day or provide mentoring opportunities at your business please contact one of the DMD Coordinators listed below.  Community support is vital to the success of this activity.
